Eden was established in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife on 30th September, 2000 by Fela Durotoye.

Eden is a Christian Lifestyle + Entertainment Ministry set out to facilitate a vibrant christian lifestyle. 

As at November 2008, Eden is fully operational in six other institutions of higher learning in Nigeria. These are: University of Ibadan, University of Port-Harcourt, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, University of Benin and the University of Lagos.

BACKGROUND:

October 28th 2000 at the Santon City Holiday Inn, Johannesburg, South Africa, Fela received a divine mandate to "go and build ME an environment that I can meet with my children as in the days of Adam".

With this commission, Fela resigned from Phillips Consulting to set up the Christian lifestyle and Entertainment ministry, called EDEN. On the 30th of September 2000, the first Eden resource centre was dedicated at D7, New Bukateria, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife - Nigeria.
