Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Communications,
Professor Dora Akunyili has endorsed the book ‘17 Secrets of High flying
students’ written by Nigeria’s foremost inspirational speaker and nation
builder, Fela Durotoye.
In a letter of endorsement dated March 9, 2010, Professor
Akunyili described the book as “a timely intervention to the much needed
transformation in our nation’s education sector”.
In her words, “Without a doubt, the book has what it takes
to assist students with uninspiring results transform into scholars”. The
highly respected minister said “I have found the book 17 Secrets of High Flying Students to be a good tool for presenting
the principles that guarantee academic excellence”
In his response, the author of the book, Nigeria’s foremost
nation builder, Fela Durotoye, thanked the minister for her kind endorsement
and assured of continued efforts and projects aimed at building Nigeria’s into
the world’s centre for academic excellence and the most desirable nation to
live in by December 31, 2025.
According to Durotoye, “the endorsement is hugely important;
coming from someone like Mrs Akunyili who we all know is a champion of positive
development and change in our nation.
It is even more important coming at a time when Nigeria’s
education sector is in dire need of a major intervention. We intend to leverage
on this to continue in our quest to make Nigeria the world’s centre for
academic excellence by 2025”.
Mrs. Akunyili believes that “the values and principles
presented in the book are very much in line with the values we seek to instill
through our current rebranding program”.
